Sport II lower receiver material

S&W lists their upper spec's as 7075 series aluminum, they list the lower as just aluminum. Anyone know for sure if it is the same 7075 and not 6061.

I don't know for sure, but the stripped lowers sold by various makers all seem to be 7075, either billet or forged.
FWIW, I wouldn't think the upper and lower would be different given that 7075-T6 has a yield in the 65,000 psi range; 6061-T6 about 40,000 psi.
Quite a big difference, one that might lead the takedown and pivot pin holes to wear at very different rates.
S&W have a reputation for quality (most of the time;>) and would use the better alloy.

No problem... You shouldn't have to dig through press releases though, the info should be right there on the spec sheet.
