my sport trigger was gritty and heavy when new.
took my trigger group apart 5 times, learning, in preparation to sending trigger group to have it lessened to 3 pounds($59).
while in there diddling - i experimentally applied moly grease with a toothpick to the let off places on the trigger sear and hammer.
worked it a few times.
trigger is now smooth, no gritty feeling, and perceived lighter in weight.

anybody else apply a lub to the trigger in an attempt to reduce the gritty feeling and reduction of weight?

i used: Metal-2-Metal moly paste
>60% molybdenum disulphide from
Beeman Precision Arms.

Yup, one of the first things I did in prep for my first shoot,
that sucker new is dry as a bone.

When I took my 15-22 apart, the FCB looked like it had corn cobb medium thrown in there.

I squirted some trilube in there but I didnt think about using a little moly grease..this evening when I have it out doing a little polishing I will try that and see what happens....Thanks for the tip!!!

Probably not just a "perceived" difference. Reducing friction required to seperate the surfaces would result in an actual lessening of the weight required to fire the gun.

Question: Which lube is everyone using?
