Yep,today at 12:15PM Eastern Time the Spring Equinox begins.
The spring equinox (also called the March equinox or vernal equinox) falls on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 12:15 P.M. EDT. This event marks the astronomical first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.

After the Spring equinox, the Norther Hemisphere tilts toward the Sun, which is why we start to get longer, sunnier days.

A bit of a chill in the air right now but it should reach the mid 70s by mid afternoon here in central Texas

!@#$%^ Spring. My eldest granddaughter is booked on a flight from NYC tomorrow, to come visit me in SC. They are predicting a blizzard!! Arrgh!!

Edit: Whoppee!! She changed her flight to tonight. I'm a happy granny!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Yep! I’m supposed to be heading up to my place in VT tomorrow through LGA. Doesn’t look good.......

Spring is here when the trees start to leaf out and the grass turns green. Other then that it's still winter in my book. Low 30's with a dusting of that %#@& white stuff. I really got to get out of this state and look for a warmer climate.

Supposed to hit 80 here today. On Thursday forecast high is 93!

Since it started snowing before 12:15 pm, that means it was still winter and confirms the prediction of Punxsutawney Phil that we would have 6 more weeks of winter.

As always in New England, first day of Spring followed by a Nor'ester.

I'm sure all the tulips and crocuses will not flower once again this year.:(

Ahh, Spring. It was a balmy 0º Fahrenheit here last night.
At least the sky has been clear and we've had lots of sunshine for several days now.

As an added bonus, the looming Nor'easter is projected to miss us cleanly and track far to the east.

Yep, glad that Spring has finally arrived, calendar wise anyway. We hit 32f here today and still have a foot of snow to melt before the fun outside stuff begins again. Things are going in the right direction now...I'm ready...bring it on!
