Spring is here

In the morning some of the birds are starting to sing the summer tunes, chirping especially the robins. Just took the dog out and heard a bird that wasn’t here a month ago.

The maple trees have buds that turned fuzzy which is the seeds growing. They eventually fall like helicopters blown all over by the wind into my gutters. Getting the ladder out to clean the gutters is a future sign of spring, Larry

I enjoy hearing the Red Wing Blackbirds. We have had Grackles here for almost a month.

Spring is here, maybe...

Aaahh, the joys of spring in south Florida.
Walk out into a cool morning with the crunch of fallen leaves underfoot and a face full of inchworms dangling from the branches.
Second best time of the year.

We've been seeing spring-like weather the last couple of weeks.
But I'm not betting on spring being here to stay just yet.
We've had snow in April 3 or 4 times in the last 11 years since moving to Spokane.
I'm not quite ready to assume that Old Man Winter is completely down and out for the count...
