SS 9mm full size

Well I'm not sure where to begin research on steel framed S&W autos so I thought I'd ask for some help. I'm interested in a full size 9mm with preferably all stainless steel. Can anyone tell me some model numbers I can look up? Google searches just seem to show me sigmas and M&Ps.

The steel framed guns are all discontinued but some good used ones are still available. The 5906 is an all steel DA/SA 15 shot auto and there a currently lots of those around...police trade-ins mostly. Expect to pay $300-400 for a decent one.

Try a search here on 3rd generation S&W's. That should do it for you. That won't be all of them but is a good place to start.

Thanks guys. I really like the 39/639/3906. Seems like what I'm looking for. Now to go find one. They seem fairly rare.

They are all SA/DA right? I seem to have an inability to find basic specs list of them. I just don't want DAO.
