We bought a corned beef from the butcher and I made it in the pressure cooker last night. It was delicious! Well, at least the dog and I thought so.
Charlie had never had corned beef before. He said it was "odd". He couldn't understand why someone would pickle a perfectly good piece of meat and remove the beef flavor.
How can someone be 54 years old and have never eaten corned beef??
I said it reminded me of the old country - Brooklyn.

Barb: Jake Wirth's, and old restaurant in Boston (used to be a speakeasy), served New England Boiled Dinner: corned beef, boiled cabbage and boiled potato. With mustard and other condiments it was delicious, particularly with Jake Wirth's dark beer.

Barb, a little saurkraut, some rye bread, beer and thousand island dressing with your corned beef and you'd have St. Patrick's Ruebens.
Then again I am not Irish and neither is my dog.
