Steyr m9a1 breakage

Hi. I have a Steyr m9a1, and had a part of the metal sub frame break off in the lower assy. It looks like the bottom of the recoil spring sits on top of it. It's this a major issue??
Is the gun still safe to use?

It's literally hiding right at the front in the exploded diagram

If there is somewhere better suited to ask, let me know

The piece that has broken off looks like some pin or pivot goes through it. Surely that cannot be good. I'd try and get hold of the importer.

There is a Steyr forum out there, but I don't know how active it is.

from what I could see, nothing went through it, I wonder if the holes are just for manufacturing
