I took my 4566TSW and a Glock G19 to the range this morning and it was good range time. I had brought along a variety of ammo for the .45 to see how it would hold up to it's bigger brother(4506) in reliability and was not disappointed.
Until today, I probably hadn't shot over 100 rounds through this one since I've only had it a couple weeks. I had some Corbon 200gr HP's(new and old), a box of Speer's old 200 gr Lawman series, a box of 200gr Speer Gold Dots and some 230 gr FMJ. Did I mention I like 200 gr in .45?
There was no problems with the 4566 in any way. Feeding and ejection were perfect...well, except for a couple rounds of brass that bounced off my head! Other than that, it was all I figured it would be-totally reliable and trustworthy. I'll have to put more through it before I trust it as much as the 4506 but I think it will rank right up there with it.
BTW-the G19 didn't let the Smith get one over on it as it too fed Ranger T 127 gr +P+ as good as the .45 fed the FMJ. Both are excellent weapons.
