Still looking for a deal on a Shield?

I ordered mine in 9mm last Thursday. Palmetto shipped it to the LGS, I picked it up this week and when I looked down in the display case they had my Shield's identical twin for $415 + tax.

I just picked up a shield .40 s&w for 260 at a pawn shop with 3 clips. I was looking at that psa deal usually it's hard to beat their deals.

Shop I work at in Raleigh NC sells the 9mm no safety for qualified professionals for $299.99 right now. All other models $324.99, night sight models $419.99.

The factory night sights are Trijicon (3 dot configuration) and are excellent!

I picked up one this afternoon at the Base PX for $310 out the door. It was the 9mm no safety. This is my second one and they are great. Just as I did with my other one I will add the Talon grips and will eventually replace the sights with the TFO's.
I have a Alien Gear holster for it and also a Remora. Both work well.

That is a great deal if it is in good condition! I have the full size 40 and want to add either a 40 Compact or a Shield. I'm not sure which way to go right now. And I may not get either one because I like living here. If I can get one of them in the house without being detected I'll be ok but It's been hit or miss with that. "Honey, what's in the bag?" "Nothing dear."

Yeah my other half doesn't know but I couldn't pass it up. Can't wait to shoot it. I read you can change the caliber by changing barrel 9mm or sig 357

I bought mine used.....

I bought mine used and paid more than some of these prices.:( Why are they pushing the .40 cal? I suppose a different caliber means different ammo to stock up on so it's good for business in the long run.

Do mean S&W or Palmetto?

Palmetto (PSA) had the 9mm guns on sale during Thanksgiving week. I bought mine from them on Thanksgiving evening. When I looked on Friday the 9mm guns were all sold out, then a few days later they put the .40 guns on sale for the same price as well.

I noticed the .40 guns at PSA have no thumb safety, so that's a plus for them . The 9mm guns had the safety.

Yeah used but like new very cleaned and and extra 7rnd mag
That is a great deal though. If I come across a used one under $300, I'm definitely picking it up as a backup.

I can see this little gun being nearly indispensable and I wouldn't mind a plan B in case my first one is out of commission for some reason.

Two possible reasons:

1) to move their stock of 40's, which isn't selling
2) they have no inventory of 9's

Looking for the night sight model for an unqualified amateur. Can I contact the shop for a price?

went over to the Base today and picked a 9mm shield for $319.50 out the door, fixing to clean it.
