Anyone shot the new Stinger?

Lightweight compact from Bond Arms. Chambered in .38 and others. Designed to be much, much smaller and lighter than previous renditions. Looks like a dandy pocket gun with wadcutters.

Thoughts?

You can only make a gun so small and then you can’t hang on to it or aim it very well. I think a Ruger LCP .380 is far superior, but to each his own. I had a Davis 32 chrome Derringer years ago and it could go places, a small .380 couldn’t go and it was very reliable and I think I paid 40 bucks brand new for it at a gun store around 1990.

I think derringers are mainly for people who aren't "gunnies".
Having said that, I often carry a NAA mini revolver in 22lr. Pretty useless but sure beats a sharp stick :D

Not completely useless. My NAA in 22 mag bags a couple water snakes every year while mowing around the pond.

As a Derringer fan, would be nice if Bond, not James,
made one like the HS Derringers.
Two pulls, two downrange, or across the card table.
Bond has a 45-70 model.

I have one of the original HS 22 Mag D/A derringers. With the correct ammo it shoots very well.

American Derringer made a double action derringer on the same pattern in 38 Special. Mine is of stainless steel, and of reasonable fit and finish. The instructions say nothing about +P ammo, and I have never tried any in it. My standard for derringers is a 4 aimed shot (2 from each barrel) 4" group at 15 feet. The first ammo I tried did this and I never tried anything else. 146 grain target reloads, at 650fps +/- produced 2" group with very manageable recoil. I never carried this gun CCW, but the 22 MAG HS is a sometime BUG.

Not really what I was expecting seeing the title.

I just fired a Stinger in Orlando at I/ITSEC about two weeks ago

But what I held was considerably larger and we were using a simulated munitions on a virtual trainer since we were inside the Orange County Convention Center

Mike took the words right out of my mouth, but for a different Stinger

Definition............A heavy, hard to manipulate weapon. A relic from the past.
OK, It is not a real quote from Mike as I cut it up a bit. Kind of like the News Media does with a quote from a Politician . . . Sorry Mike

The last real Stinger I fired looked like this
