Stippling job or buy hand grips?

Fyi granulate is too rough on a carry gun. Good on a range or competition gun but still may feel a bit to aggressive for some. They will trade it out if you don't like it though. Not 100% sure on how that works though. There is also a two day shipping option on the Talon sight for a few extra dollars.

Thanks for the heads up for carrying. I don't plan on carrying because CT laws are ridiculously strict that a robber can break into your house with a weapon, and you shoot him and YOU end up in jail because you didn't retreat far enough. I don't want any of those problems. BUT, if I do decide to carry, I'm hoping by that time I'm really comfortable with my pistol and I send it in to get the stippling and finger grooves designed for my specific hands.

Here is an example of Talon Tape and stippled grips. Best of both world, PLUS there is no permanent modification to your gun, Just an idea.

I agree that $200 is a bit much...but there are guys who spend thousands modifying their gun - it's your money so do what YOU want, not what we say.

If you want to see a LOT of different stippling and modifications - look at "Weapon Stippling" on Facebook. It has a lot of examples.

Hey, thank you for the advice. I will take a look at the group on FB and see what different options are out there. This is much needed information.

Thanks again

Any true "gun guy" wants to see you make the RIGHT decision vs. a decision which puts money in our pocket. I'm ordering Talon grips for my Shield next week...while I keep stippled stuff on my other guns - just my decision based on how and what I carry and how much I want to spend on my guns.

Good luck!

Rubber Talons go on all my polymer guns. I just love them. However I thought I would try the granulate version on my Kahr CM9 and they REALLY grip. Almost too much for a pocket pistol.
