I have a 32 he 2nd mod 5th change and am trying to determine the correct stocks for the gun. 6" barrel I frame round butt non-target sights. Serial number is 248305 so manufacture date of 1910-1917 according to S&W book. I am assuming hard rubber. Any thoughts from the group? Thanks.

I believe you are correct. The similar .32 Regulation Police had wood round-to-square butt stocks at this time but all the original model 1903s I have seen of this era all had the gutta percha stocks.

IIRC, both wood and Mother of Pearl stocks were available as extra cost options, but the black composition stocks were far and away most common.
