Stolen USPS Money Order

UPDATE! I filed a lost/stolen report for my missing USPO Money Order and I received a notice from USPO accounting office a week later that said if the MO was not cashed in 10 days, I would receive a full refund. The MO was not cashed within 3 days, and after that it was cancelled by USPO. After 10 business days, I received a full refund check. This was after they verified delivery by GPS location of the mailman. It was suspicious though, because the USPS delivery time stamp was more than an hour off from a private neighbor video camera. In any case, I was blown away that they actually sent me a full refund!

Having done business with Wengayoo in the past, I found him to be a straight up guy, a pleasure to do business with. This news makes me happy. That's karma smiling on you for being a good guy.:)

Good to know. This story lends some credibility to the idea that using a USPS money order affords the buyer at least SOME protection from fraud. At least some of the time and in some cases...

Sold a pistol to fella in FL. He said he sent USPS money order. I never received the money order. Had to wait three months for him to be able to send another. Everything worked out fine. Close to a year later I received the original money order he had sent. Original priority envelope with money order enclosed with no damage. How is that for fast service. John

Yeah, sometimes sorting machinery "eats" envelopes, and they may not be found until someone is doing a full maintenance/service on the machinery. And some machines only get a full service once a year.
It happens. Not often, but it does happen.

I recently attempted to purchase car parts with a usps money order. The seller never received the letter and the money order has not been cashed. I had to wait 60 days and then pay $20.15 to open a lost money order inquiry . So i purchased the money order , the post office lost my letter , then i had to pay the post office $20.15 to see if maybe Iĺl get some of my money back . Iĺl never do that again

I did have to pay the $20.15 too....

I'm currently tracking three packages, one mentioned earlier sent the 20th of November, one sent two weeks ago by my wife to Ohio, and one sent to me from NC the 16th - all "in transit" and not getting to where they were sent. I think the USPS employees are quiet quitting.

Lady who delivers my mail said the supervisors warned the carriers to expect people complaining. Said there is a 5-7 day backlog for packages at the service centers and warehouses. So if a package had to go through two or three centers, that's up to three weeks' delays.

Had a one Ounce Silver Mexican Libertad disappear at the Albuquerque Main Post Office.
Apparently the perpetrator broke into the facility and took my coin.
Yeah Right!
It was an EBay buy and they finally did reimburse me.
