Tissue paper and then stored in small 6 mil heavy duty plastic bag with 6-8 large holes punched in them to keep the air flow. Then in a dedicated tool box with cushion lined pull out drawers - only for gun parts.
Crown Royal Bags.....
Zip lock baggies and then labeled. I have a box of K&Ls, J and Ns.
The clear bags make it easy to recognize them rather than unwrapping each set.

Where are you finding all these grips?
The pouches are 8x4 and fit most grips. Amazon has them in a variety of sizes.

Anywhere I can. I have bought guns just to get the grips. I have 2-3 times the number of grips as guns. I am an FFL so I frequently get extra grips with a gun or collection. I set back all factory grips in case I pick up a gun that needs them. And I love custom grips. I have several sets. Spegels, Culina, Cloyce Edwards Cascade, KB, and Herretts. One of these days soon they and my SW collection will all be in the classified section when I have my estate sell off. My plan was to sell off at 65 but as I am turning 68 this year it will probably happen at 70.

thanks for all the great ideas gentlemen! I like the Hob Lob 5 layer storage boxes. I currently cut a piece of dense foam .35" thick to put between the 2 stocks and screw them together then wrap on some repurposed bubble wrap from the wifes shopping adventures and they go in a shoe box but the boxes are getting full and I have to take them all out to get to those on the bottom. I also do love the timex watch display. It sucks now a days that guns have to be stored locked away behind a steel door. I would love to live in a time and place where it would be OK to have them on display.
I'm 70 and peddle a few guns here and there. Mostly reach out to WTB post on a few forums. Nothing too drastic.

These looked perfect but dang dude, you didn't say they were $50 with tax EACH!! You got $150 worth of storage bins in that pic. Yeah, I bought one even at that price because I think it'll work well but holy moly.
Each bin holds at least 45 pair of grips. Think about the value of Cokes, diamond Targets, Combats and custom grips like Sanderson and Farrant. If they're worth an average of $200/ea (which is very conservative), that's $9,000!
I don't feel a zip lock is enough protection to pad grips. Depending on you region it may not be smart to store grips in a zip lock inside a plastic ammo can with waterproof seal. Especially in late summer times of high humidity. Those conditions can promote mildew. Been there, done that. The reason they are now in tissue paper in cardboard boxes.
If you live in one of these regions the same thing goes for guns. Do not store long term in plastic cases that are air tight.
I've seen grown men cry when they uncork their prime shooter out of one of those $20 plastic cases with egg shell foam.
Only to have it covered with fine surface rust, 1 year. Longer periods lead to pitting.
