Strain screw length

I am having some misfire issues with a SB Model 10. I am now starting to wonder if the strain screw is too short. I can't find my spec book. Can anybody tell me what the overall length / shank length of this screw should be? Thanks.

Square butt strain screw is .605" OAL and .480" under the head.

Maybe try the primer cup between the screw and spring trick to see if length is the issue?

THAT WAS IT. SHANK WAS 0.450

The primer cup trick has worked for me - twice. Once on a 1920s M&P in .32-20, again on a .38 Combat Masterpiece. I think the basic cause of both was weakened hammer springs.
