Hey guys, I just wanted to surface and show everyone my new EDC. This is my 5th 39 series gun, so now the stable consists of two 39-2's, 639, 3904, and a 3906.

My other 39-2 is as close to 100% as it can be, but I love shooting it and carrying it. I've been on the hunt for a "beater" 39-2 for a while now and came across this gem at a local pawn.

It appears to be a "carried a lot, shot very little" pistol. The blueing is very nice (there is no wear, the picture just looks like it on the slide), with one or two small scratches and minimal holster wear at the muzzle. The grips are not perfect, but I don't mind since I will be carrying this one every day. No rust, and the extractor/internals look great. Came with one original mag. The one in the gun is one of my 639 mags. The condition is 10 times better than described, especially after a thorough cleaning. I paid $335 OTD :D and I can't wait to shoot a box of WWB through her this weekend. What's the production year? A7188XX

Cheers,
Vince

Hello,
Thats a good looking pistol that dates to 1981.

Congratulations. I'm looking for a shooter grade Md 39 too. I have an unfired pre Md 39 and want one to shoot. I think you got a really good deal. A couple of weeks ago i saw a 39-2 in a LGS that is in a lesser condition than yours for $459. No thanks.
