striker crack ?

was looking at the striker claw on the sigma and it looks like it has a crack going up it to the base of the striker its on both sides but not on the bottom or mating face of the claw...is this the way its made or is it a sign of the striker might fail? also it has the number 10 stamped on any clue on what that means?

ok i took it a part and from the looks of it the striker is cast and its a cast seam cause it goes all way up the striker and seems to be raised

I had a striker fail after about 900 rounds and ga-zilllion dry fires. S&W replaced it and about 1400 more rounds have went down the pipe with no problem. The break looked like what and where you are discribing. Send it back.

so did your striker break or just have the crack like thing on it too? cause my striker is still intact and ive noticed it a wile back and probly put 200-300 rounds tru it sense then and it hasn't gotten worse
