Striker Safety Plunger

How do I get the Striker Safety Plunger out of my sw40ve so I can polish its face?
As well, I have not found anything on the web about taking the slide components apart.

Be careful the springs go boing and become hard to find.

Be careful tuning on the block. It does need cleaned up. Don't get carried away with it!!!!

Thanks for the advice.
The job was done successfully. I have not shot it yet but it seems to dry fire just fine.
Very interesting how similar the slide is to a Glock. No wonder they got sued.
