has anyone tried subsonic in their S&W M&P 22?
With what results?
My guess is that it will not cycle.
But the M&P 22 has a vary light spring.
What's your experience?

My M&P22 is quite happy firing sub-sonic CCI's (1050fps - the only brand of sub-sonic ammo I have tried). Never had an issue with short-cycling, failure to eject or failure to feed.

Thanks, now that I know someone has had good luck with them, I will try. So far my M&P 22 shoots anything I put in there with little trouble. CCI standard vol. is only 1070 and only 940 muz. vol. for a pistol. The chart I have shows subsonic to be the same for pistol muz. vol.

My M&P22 has been happy with anything I put in it since the day I got it. Only a few failure to fire's, but I blame that on the ammo. I usually eject and reload a troublemaker and it fires the next time.

Subsonic ammo in the M&P22 makes it so easy to shoot my mother would be comfortable doing so - and she's never held a weapon in her hand.....

I've used Remington SubSonics in my M&P 22 and 15-22 without any problems. I'd stay away from the really slow stuff, 740fps and the like.

I have some CCI Quiet that is around 700fps and it does not cycle but shoots fine and is good practice for clearing the chamber/racking the slide. Great for my rifle though and it is quiet.

CCI Quiet won't budge the bolt on my Ruger. Really is quiet though. Basically a .22 short in an LR case.

I shoot all my subsonic in my Henry Goldenboy, my M&P22 is hit and miss with subsonic.
Actually the only reason I bought it was at the time of the ammo shortage it was all the 22 I could get.

CCI subsonic hollow point ammo 1050 fps shot very well from my m&p22. I was very accurate with this ammo as well
