Suggest Grips for My 65 in 3 inch...Please.

There were so many options that I just went bananas. The banana combats and the Pachmyr compacs are my favorites.

Count me as another fan of the Pachmayr Compacts that cover the backstrap. Perhaps not quite as concealable as the Pro version but for shooting they work the best for me for control/recoil absorbtion.

Another fan of Spegels and Ahrends. Spegels have a long wait and Ahrends are no longer made, but you may be able to find examples of each for sale online or elsewhere.

Another option is the PGS Hideout grips. I'm currently trying a set of these on my M65 to see if they can win me over. They're a hard plastic available smooth, or lightly textured. The shape is very close to the Pac Compac Pros.

PGS Hideout grips are actually my favorite RB K-frame grip. Used 'em on both my 3" 65 and 2" 64. I like the smooth, non-finger-groove model. It's smooth without being slick. I think they work particularly well for shooters with small hands. They conceal well, and don't grab on clothing if that's a concern (well, the smooth version...the textured version may be grabby). Best of all, they're typically only about $20 from Brownells or direct from the manufacturer. I'm currently using the J-frame models on both of my 642s.

For nice, fancy wood grips, you may want to check out Hogue, Badger, Eagle Grips, Altamont, Culina, or BluMagnum.

I have a set of Uncle Mike's that I might use for carry but I really like the factory stocks, with a Tyler, especially for shooting.

If you want Spegels without the wait or expense, find a set of the Spegel-designed Uncle Mike's on EBay. You can still find them for under $50.

i use the hogue k/L frame monogrips. overmolded rubber round to square conversions on all of my round butts. they're very soft, finger grooved, and work great in my semi paralyzed hand. uncle mike's used to make great grips but they dropped grips from their product line many moons ago, so hogue it is for me.

Not 3", but I bet they would work well on 1. Converted Herrett square butts, into round, and Herrett RKR round. My 10 has the converted ones, the 66-2 has stock set. Bob

I've become a fan of VZ's.
Yep, the one on the left looks like it was dragged down 20 miles of bad interstate. Got it cheap and it shoots great.

I had to wait about 4 weeks for Altamont to make these, and they are very comfortable.

Just didn't like the way they looked on my 19-2 Snubby, so into the pile they went. Which is exactly why many of us have boxes full of old and new grips, you just never know until you try.

The PGS Hideouts are my go-to. Perfect shape and size for concealed carry. I find the smooth and textured both a little too slick, so I put an over-aggressive stippling on them with a soldering iron, then work it back to ideal texture with sandpaper.

If VZ made a checkered K-frame boot grip like their J-frame version, I'd probably switch; the checkered VZ boots on a J are great.

Word of caution to those running Uncle Mikes: that material can erode over time, and year-round carry will accelerate it. Makes 'em gummy, can stick to the frame, and on one set of mine the escutcheon started spinning in the grip when attempting to unscrew because the rubber got weak; had to destroy the grips to get them off the frame. More regular removal and inspection might've avoided that.
