Summer Carry

I live in Arkansas and it has been near 100 everyday and so carrying needs change as it becomes tee shirt and shorts weather. I wear Columbia shorts with deep pockets and I carry a Pre 36 Chief model in pocket.
Pre model 36 flat latch made in 1952.

Nice Baby Chief!! I can't tell from the photo, but is the sight ramp serrated or smooth?? If I remember correctly the time period could be either. I have a smooth ramp Baby, and am not averse to carrying it from time to time, but have to admit that particularly in hot weather, I'm more likely to carry stainless or alloy.... For their rust and corrosion resistance. Although it seems that the older I get, the less I sweat. I don't know why.

Very nice rig. I carry a 9mm Shield in a waistband holster. The holster completely covers the gun so no sweat can reach the metal. If you are concerned, apply a good coat of Renaissance Wax to protect the surface. Wipe off any moisture when you get home at night and you should be good to go. Wax protects your car from rain and rust so it works real good on guns.

That's a sweet little gun for summer carry. My summer carry is the same as the rest of the year. Even though summers are 100+ degrees where I am, my work requires me to wear khaki pants since we work inside where there's AC, so I end up wearing those almost all the time. They give us deals on the 5.11 gear, so my 1954 4" Highway Patrolman goes everywhere with me, with two speedloaders
