Hey, I'm Chris. Long time shooter and S&W lover from South West Florida where Im about to go back to work in the private security field. Been around guns my whole life, my father loved S&W revolvers. When I first started in the security industry my dad bought me a S&W 5906. I carried it for 10years regardless what the Glock guys said lol.

Sadly about 3years ago a nasty motorcycle accident almost killed me, left me disabled, and worst. I had to sell all the guns in my collection to keep my family afloat, yes including my beloved 5906.

Well to all things come an end. The lawsuit settled out, I'm being cleared to go back to work, and I'm rebuilding my collection (up to 7 now). Though still haven't replaced my 5906.

About 2years ago I picked up an LEO trade in 4583TSW for a good price. I liked it, the 45 was a nice change of pace from the 9mm's I usually carried. The gun felt great, sadly it was stolen and recovered but I won't get it back till at least June. Again, I'm without a S&W.

However this alerted me to the existence of the TSW 3rd gen variant. So now I find myself on the hunt, I am feverishly looking for a 5906TSW. I have come across a few on GunBroker but far too high of priced. ArmsList found one but turned out to be a scam.

I figured this would be a good place to kill some time and learn more while I continue my search for a new sidearm.

Welcome to the forum and good luck on your collection rebuild. Heck of a journey that you have had.

Hello from Pa.

Hello everyone.
I'm hoping to pick up my 1st S&W revolver tomorrow, maybe. We got snow arriving, so i hope it gets here. It's a m29-3, blued with 6in barrel from the mid 80s. Figure it should be a good looking shooter.

Then early this morning I found a m29-2 from 1977. Blued with a 8 3/8 barrel with a box and paperwork. It's missing the tools though.
But, I thought it was an ok price. So i bought it, with hunting deer with it as the excuse. I should get it next week.
Looking forward to learning about these guns.

Any who that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Umm sorry.
I thought I started a new thread.
Must be the excitement.
Maybe a mod could fix this, please.
