Ten years is a good long time - glad your patience has been rewarded. Enjoy!

I Joined the Club earlier this year. One of my ALL TIME Favorites. Here's mine

Ive been a member of this forum for 9 years or so and this is probably the most envious I have been in that time. I have fallen in love with pictures of other members firearms, the common and not so common, but the Super K has been something I have, long ago, accepted was only a dream for me. Heck even if I could find one, I couldnt afford it anyway. Great looking gun. Extremely Jealous.

Beautiful guns gentleman, how many were produced? My new Favorite Smith :)

Question. The S&W cut sheet says.......

"... this practical carry gun features a unique wedge-shaped barrel and frame
that places weight forward of the cylinder for better recoil control."

What does that mean, exactly? Is the frame and barrel unique and unlike those on other Smiths?

The Barrel is a slabside barrel. Don't think any other S&W uses this Barrel.

I think I can see the barrel is kinda "wedge-shaped", when seen from the front. Is the frame wedge-shaped, too? Or is it just a normal frame with a barrel with a that's a little different.

Jim, looking at your most recent pictures the frame is different. Look at the right side, where the barrel mates up, it's real evident. The Super K is "flat". To match the barrel's contour. Compare it to this standard M66-3.

Good catch Kernel. I didn't see that until you posted. Nicely done by S&W to blend in the shape. Beautiful gun. I would be happy with the regular one but I can't seem to beat somebody that always gets the good GB 66 3 inchers before I get to them! Like yesterday!

Just to crush my lust.... what does a super K sell for these days? I want it bad, but have a distinct feeling that it is out of my price range.
