I came accross a half box of this ammo tonight while going thru my stuff. The box is actually a "Peters" center fire cartridge box, and within are 25 rounds of Super-Vel hollow point ammo. I probably bought this ammo at a yard sale last year and just now discovered it in my mess. Is this safe ammo to shoot? The box is blue and white with a red circle with Peters within.

If it is original, it should be safe but I am always hesitant to shoot cartridges that may be someone else's reloads, especially if I don't know them. Super Vel cases in a Peters box suggests that might be what you have.
