I watched a 1957 episode of Superman and the intro shows a smith 6 inch being fired. Just caught a glimpse and it looked like a pre27 and sure sounded like a magnum. Anybody know for sure what this model is?

The M&P had a round front sight and the squiggle/Speed hammer. Made about 1948-55.

The Colt is a Police Positive Special with probably a five-inch barrel. I think it was made in the 1930's.

"I have a bigger question: why does he stand with his arms on his hips when he is fired at 6 times but ducks out of the way when the guy throws the empty gun at him? "

He duck because if the gun hit him on the head or any part of his body, being a "man of steel" and understand how valuable these revolvers are, will surely put a dent or damaged the gun in some way.

Thats the only reason I can think of, any other suggestions?
