Its reassuring to see that so many of our Senators are wary enough of gun owners to commit to opposing U.N. imposed gun control on the U.S. Of course it is interesting that both Illinois Senators did NOT vote yes. No surprise with Sen. Dick Durbin, who has always been a gun hater, and only a small surprise that Sen. Mark Kirk, ostensibly a Republican, remained true to his anti-2nd Amendment roots and would not join in in supporting our gun rights.

Does it take 60% to ratify this treaty? Watch for an end run of some sort.

It takes 2/3 of the Senate to ratify a treaty, so they'd need 67 votes. These 50 here seem to be the nails in that coffin.
