Suppressors can be quite pricey and then there is the NFA process. If you do decide you want to deal with the process and spend the money, make sure you get and adjustable gas block. A suppressor can cause over gassing issues if you don't have one.

I am just starting the process for a saker. I got my heavy barrel chopped to 16" and added a tricecta brake. I like that it is full auto and magnum rated. Will also be using it on a remington 700 aac-SD model and eventually a 300 blackout sbr.

Suppressors

my thinking if you can buy a $2000. plus scope and a
$1500. plus rifle then a suppressor price is a after thought , but I'll assume you don't want or think others want a suppressor to save their hearing

I purchased a Griffin Armament 300WM Precision Hunter from The silencer Shop for $800.00. I plan on using on the M&P, 308 bolt gun and my AR15's.

Weight might be a factor worth considering.

30cal steel cans can weigh upwards of a pound and a half. That's a lot to hang off the muzzle when shooting offhand. Shorter lighter 30cal cans are becoming more popular for dual use with 5.56. Take a look at some of the titanium cans.

Happy hunting.

I always kind of wondered about that. Since I never really seriously looked, I never researched enough to see what kind of weight they had.

I'd suggest going to one of the dedicated suppressor sights for the best and most up to date information.

Just picking up my 2nd Elite Iron Bravo can tomorrow. Have one dedicated for a .223 precision rifle the 2nd for use on my 6.5 x 47 L and a .308 bolt gun.

The Elite Iron cans seem to REALLY hold up. I have seen a few real torture tests and the cans survive the abuse.

I have a Yankee Hill Machine SS can I run on AR's and an AAC on my HK Tactical .45 acp. Both have given me exceptional service for several years now. I had an issue once with a YHM adapter, they REALLY stepped up to alleviate the issue, sent a replacement adapter out ASAP, next day Air on their dime. I really like YHM. But have to say my new Elite Iron bravo can is MUCH quieter.

I 2nd the suggestion to go to an adjustable gas block on the AR's.

Cans really ruin a guy. They soak up recoil and the report goes from muffs required, high powered rifle stuff, down to .22 rimfire type noise.

I find them very convenient for coyotes, badgers, skunks, etc here on the Ranch as I can dispatch a pest with my AR or the .223 bolt gun without bothering any of the other animals or my neighbors.
