SW 1911 9mm Pro Modifications

I got a new 1911 Pro and its great. I load 9mm minor PF. I am going to leave it pretty much stock but I was thinking of getting a Wilson Combat extended slide release and getting a lighter recoil spring (maybe 11#s or 13#s) anyone have any experience with this? I'm going to use it in IDPA and USPSA
