I seem to recall Elmer Keith had a two gun rig for a pair of Heavy Duty revolvers with a double row of cartridges but I can not find the image.

If your jogging . Might be rough on the hips. I love N frames but there's no way I'm ever gonna carry two of them. Elmer didn't either is my guess .

Yes, the William Brown carved, laced, and lined rig in post# 5 above has 82 cartridges in the belt + 12 in the RM’s. It weighs 11.8 pounds with both guns loaded and with the belt fully loaded with cartridges. I essentially just use it for display.

I'm somewhat ambidextrous (some might say ambiclumsy), so if I was going to do this, I would stick with the butt-forward configuration on both sides. That way either gun would be accessible to either hand, while in a variety of positions.

About weight: With its big holes and slim barrel, the S&W 1917 actually only weighs 36-ish ounces, so with a web belt, two of those EPS military style hosters, and a few half-moon clips, I think it would be doable for an adventure in the best "Walter Mitty" tradition. I'm a sucker for that sort of thing! Wear a pith helmet.

My 4” barreled Model 1917 weighs 35.6 ounces so you are pretty close. Two is not such a chore.

My Sam Browne belt and gear (handgun, baton, extra ammo, radio, multi-tool, latex glove pouch, pepper spray) weighed about 15 pounds. I wish I only had had a 12 pound rig to carry.
