sw 629-3 trigger

i have a 629 and the trigger will not reset on it own,however a lite touch on the back of the trigger and it does.iI did replace the rebound spring no difference. trying to help my friend out,I know this post might not be to clear,but just looking for suggestions, thanks

Some CLP or similar lubrication in there would probably help, can't hurt anything.

Is it rubbing the side of the Frame or Side Pate? Bent Stud? Crud build up?

Idid notice the hammer stud boss on the frame is shiny like a rub,maybe thats jaming up the lockwork so slightly,

Try it without the hammer block. That added friction if it doesn't fit smoothly in the side plate can cause that.
