SW1911 - First 200 Rounds

Finally completed my first 200 rnds through my S&W 1911! It functioned flawlessly with Federal Champion 230gr FMJ and the factory magazines! :D

Here's a pic of my last three targets. These are 16 shot groups at 7 yards! the middle target is the best with only 1 shot out of the 10 ring. Just need to tweak my grip or trigger control a bit to get them centered. Also a picture of the gun after the range session. Time to clean her up and try out my Federal HST 230gr defense ammo! :cool:

Glad your range trip went well, those are some good looking groups.
 
Looks good!

You might try shooting at longer range - 15 - 25 yards. 7 yard groups are not very helpful, although they are great confidence builders.
 
33 feet is my typical practice range. Steel is the target and my sight/ammo goal is to hold right on and get hits. I like to sight in @ 33
feet on a 3" black bullseye.
Looks likeyou have a sweet 1911. Tough to beat! Have Fun!
