Hi Everyone
I have a new SW40EV I recently bought. I have an issue where after 3-4 rounds, the rounds start hitting low. I went to the range and set it up in the handgun stand to stabilize it and set the target for 20 feet. After three to four rounds, it consistently hits below bulls-eye by about 4 inches. After each round I make sure the sites line up on the bulls-eye.
If the guns sits for a bit (as I am loading a magazine) and I re-shoot, it hits bulls-eye but then starts dropping again.
I've tried 4 different types of ammunition, FMJ, SJHP and different manufacturers.
I did the same thing and set the target at 15 feet and after 3-4 rounds, it drops about 2 inches. If I let it sit and re-shoot, it's fine for the first 3-4 then drops again
I had three different people test fire the gun with the same results, both on a stand and then just normally holding with two hands.
It seems something is getting hot and warping or expanding. I did some geometry and at that distance, it equates to about a 1/8" inch movement at the barrel.
I do notice that the slide does not sit even on the frame (pic attached).
Anyone else having this issue?
