wat up party people? i've owned my sigma for several months now and have about 500 rounds thru it. i did alot of research before buying my sigma and knew wat i was getting into. a lot of bashers out there putting in their two cents and hyping their choice of handgun. i'm sure not everyone 'loved' their first car or got the first car they wanted. but wen u did get that car, u cleaned it, u oiled it and you beat the **** out of it wen u wanted to. not everyone is fortunate to have the 'best' of things. for me, it was affordable, and does what i need it to do. we all know the trigger is not the best but as i've read, in a highly stressed situation you wouldn't want to make 'that' mistake... but with practice i've been able to get 1-1.5" groups at 7 yds and some clean head shots at 10-12 yds (zombie training!!!). i've even gone 25 yds and i'll just say i got on target. i've used different ammo and surprisingly, Tulammo had some awesome results. nxt visit i'll experiment with all ammo i've used and see wat happens.

Wait a minute! There are people out there who bash the Sigma? First I have heard of this. Next thing you know people will start a blind close-minded cult like following for Austrian pistols. Nah, that could never happen. Glad you like your SW40VE.

I've had my Sw40ve for a little over a year now and several hundred rounds. Never any problems & the trigger seems to get better with use.

Welcome to the Sigma & to the forum! Both will treat you well!

Hi and welcome to the forum. I have owned my Sigma 40VE almost a year now. I estimate I have between 250 to 350 rounds through the pistol. I have not had one jam. I like the trigger. But I also have double action revolvers so the Sigma fits my style. At 7 to 10 yrds I can keep my shots in the black of a bulleye target if I do my job. I believe this is one of the best low cost self defense handguns going today. Is the Sigma the most accurate semi-auto? No. But the Sigma is accurate enough for self defense. And like all self defense handguns a person needs to practice a lot to be able to use the chosen weapon under stress. A Glock, XD or 1911 is no better than the shooter. Same goes for the Sigma.
What a person gets buying a Sigma is a reliable, simple and troublefree self defense weapon. For around $350 what can one expect?

thx for the welcomes! seems like a down to earth forum already. but if anyone can tell me how to post pics on the forum i'd be happy to share. maybe we can get an online competition going? that could get interesting...

roaddog28, u said it best! accurate enough for self defense. i got it to protect myself, my family and 'some' friends :D

and has anyone shot or currently own the sd9? i'm considering it, and lookin for some feedback other than wat i've read. thx again!

Why, I'd be happy to!

1. go to photobucket.com and create an account (there are others out there too)

2. Upload your pictures from your computer to your photobucket album by clicking the upload now button in photobucket

3. Once the picture is in photobucket, copy the IMG code

4. Paste it into the body of your message

Trigger is no big deal. If you can't figure out the Simga, it isn't for you. Find something you can figure out and shoot accuratley. :D

Very nice! I picked up my SW40VE almost a year ago. I should have a total of 1200 rounds through it this coming Friday. Love it more each time I shoot it. Goes well with my M&P 15-22 as well. ;)

Welcome!

Delta,

Great news. Took my SW9VE to the range last Friday. I'm at 1150 rounds. Just keeps getting better. :D

zeroed_in, glad you got the pics up and running!

Post often and enjoy the forum.

.357 mag, great to see you my friend! Happy New Year!

SW40VE Owner

First of all welcome to the forum frome another new SW40VE owner. I have had mine for about a month and the trigger is a little differant from other pistols I own but I am growing to like it quite well. Great gun for the price range.

Congratulations on your Sigma purchase several months ago. I've owned one for 2 years now and it did take me some time to get used to the heavy trigger pull. I got a lot better over time but still don't get tight groups after about 15 yards...then again it is a self defense gun. If I wanted a target pistol I would have bought a target pistol.

check out this smiley face group i found, it was actually upside down on the target... even has ears, pretty funny!
