I'm just curious to know!
S&W Sigma,
Q: Is there any way (after you cock the handgun) to uncock the pistol without dry firing? (SW40VE)

Just a clarification: A SD or Sigma is never "cocked" in the way a 1911 or other hammer fired gun, nor is the striker fully retracted ("cocked"?), it is only partially retracted to ensure the engagement of the sear. It is drop safe because of the firing pin block and the trigger block.

The only and I mean only way the gun will fire is if the trigger is pulled all the way back.
