Local purchase, so no shipping/tax/FFL fee. Probably overpaid @ $500, but I got to inspect it before purchase.

Now I need to make or buy a holster for it. It will likely become an occasional "carry gun".

$500 is about fair market price these days. When regular no nothing Model 10s are bring in $600 and a Model 686 is over $1,000.... you did good.

Very nice! I bought my 908 new in 1999. Novak offers, or at least did, an adjustable rear sight that fits the 908. It is screw adjustable for elevation. Windage is by brass punch.

I have a 908s which is at Guzzitaco getting his treatment . Luckily we found a blued slide so I will have both , plus I can switch out and have a two tone which I like the looks of . Guzzi fitted an LPA on the blued slide so I can get the most out of it with my eyesight . Probably should have gone with a Sig Romeo like I did on my 45Recon and 745 .

Those Value Series guns can be just that, a great value! Although to those of us who have reached a state of Old Fartdom $500 sounds like a bunch of money, in today's market it's quite reasonable. IMHO, you got a good, solid, utilitarian 9mm at a reasonable price. Enjoy it. :D

Holster

Bought a NOS Don Hume pancake holster from a SWF member.

Gun fit was extremely tight, so I inserted the gun and left it for 3 weeks. Still a little too tight - will let it stretch for another couple of weeks.

Zip-Loc

Find a mens dress sock and put gun in it then jam it into the holster. Works quite well.

Actually, I'm using a Zip-Loc baggie.

I've used the same "baggie stretch" method on a couple of other too-tight holsters and it works quite well. Just have to have patience.

If you're looking for IWB, get a Crossbreed Supertuck. You'll forget you're wearing it.
