SW9VE does not lock open when empty

New gun, less than 500 rounds. First few hundred rounds the slide locked back after last round fired, as expected. Now it ejects the last case properly but does not lock open as expected. I can manually lock it open on an empty mag by pulling the slide back, as expected. It does this on all 3 mags I have available, all are factory mags. Any ideas? Thank you!

Check that you're not inadvertently limp-wristing on the last round. Also check your grip and make sure your thumb isn't stopping the slide-lock lever from going up when the magazine follower pushes it after the last round.

I had the exact same problem with my H&KP30L took me a few magazines to figure out it was my thumbs sitting a little to high and I was stopping the slide lock from engaging the slide.

I had a similar problem with one of the magazines with mine. I t appears that the mold flashing was not properly removed from the follower. I ran the follower across some emery paper and it then moved higher in the magazine body and actuated the slide stop.
