My first AR style rifle was a PWS (Primary Weapons System) in 223 Wylde. Love it. It is a fantastic carbine. Indirect Impingement so easier to clean.

Well PWS went and done it. They made a Swiss Army Knife um I mean carbine. This is an absolutely awesome carbine. The initial 3 calibers are 308, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 556. They are planning on releasing 3 more caliber changes each quarter.

Just when I thought I didn't really need another rifle/carbine, they come along and prove me wrong.

A bit pricy compared to the popular Ruger SFAR.

You need to watch the video on their website. They guarantee 1/2" MOA when you switch barrels. The conversion kits are about 500+/-. The guy said if you have the 556 and want to switch to the 300 BLK it would be a little over $300 for just the barrel because you keep the same mag well and bolt head.

Who needs and can actually utilize 1/2 MOA from an AR type battle rifle?

When Aberdeen Proving Grond shut down, 2 M-16s were sent to my best friends armory with signed hang tags of 10 shot groups in slightly less than 1" at 200 Meters. That's a little better than 1/2 MOA. Those guns were used by the unit's best marksmen (actually Expert Marksmen) and made several more sub MOA groups.

My personal 1996 Bushmaster AR-15 scoped model A-4 get 1/4 MOA groups with select lots of ammo. Running coyotes at 300 yards don't stand a chance!

I am kinda surprised at some of the reactions here. I would love to have an AR that got 1/2MOA. Not only that, you can use 1 platform for multiple calibers. They already have 308, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 300 BLK with 7.672X39 and 8.6 BLK coming along with 223 Wylde. They are promising many more. Who cares that it is an AR platform, I am happy to have any rifle/carbine that can shoot under 1 MOA. Not only that, after having watched the engineer that help design it talk about it I am truly impressed. It seems to me that they have thought of just about everything. Ambi everything, multiple calibers, piston driven, compatible with most everything AR, 2 different lengths of barrel, tank technology that help get the gases out the end of the barrel, and much more.

Gee wiz, you guys are right, nothing to see here. Just move along. If you don't believe me then just watch this video:

Have never seen a off the rack M16/AR that shot 1 moa. Spent 24 years in the Corps with the M16 platform for most of the time. I am sure the Team Shooters that had rifles built by the Match Armorers at Quantico could do that well. But for us peons in the Fleet it did not happen. Need pictures of theses great groups that folks talk about, without pictures it did not happen.

Yes. I was hoping to see something in 7.5x55!
Return of the SIG-AMT, perhaps?
I'm still baffled by the title of this thread.

Liked the 7.5X55 in the Schmidt-Rubin. Shot well in the M1911 that I had. Wish I still had it. Paid $20.00 for it in a gun shop in NC in about 1971. He had racks of 7MM & 8MM Mausers and the Schmidt-Rubins in the shop, all at $20.00 take your pick!

My how times have changed ...

My first PWS ,primary weapons system ( meaning - the only rifle I owned ergo ... my primary weapon ) was also a Swiss Carbine !

A Swiss K-11 , 1911 Schmidt-Ruben straight pull in 7.5 Swiss ...
and It's still in service ... Guarding the homestead and taking Deer and Wild Hogs to feed us .

Congratulations ...That new and Improved Swiss PWS of your's ...
is pretty danged Awesome !
Have fun at the range and give us a report !

I have a K31 with a no-drill scope mount. It makes me look good on the range.

I am ASSUMING you know what a Swiss Army Knife is. All the different gadgets that can do everything. Sorry my analogy miss the mark for you. 1 carbine that can do everything because you can switch out the barrel for many different calibers?!?!? Oh well, never mind.

Are some people here not watching the videos? They will be coming out with 3 new calibers every quarter. Some people are saying well it would be better with this caliber or that caliber. HELLO, I have already stated what they have listed on their website.

Never mind, I guess I am trying to sell an ice cube maker to Eskimos. I have already talked to a couple of dealers that are attending Shot Show this year and are excited to check this out. I am still mulling this around but, I think a 223 Wylde carbine with a 300 BLK barrel would be good although I think the 7.62X39 would probably be more versatile if the world goes to HECK.
