switching magazines??

I saw something yesterday about being able to switch out magazines on the sigma with another mag. Evidently this one comes without the "ice-scrapper" on the bottom. If this is possible, which one is it? From which gun?

So, just for clarification, are the actual magazines cross compatible, or is it just that the SD floor plates can be placed on Sigma mags?

From what I've read in other posts the magazines are identical except for the base plates.

Identical except for base plates and followers. Either will function in either gun.
