My State Rep is good friend, he called to say that CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY should pass the TEXAS SENATE . The LtGOV was unsure because there are 4 REPUB Senators worried about re-election. This session ends last week of May so time is of essence. Governor has stated he will sign bill if Senate will pass it. Stand By !

Can you elaborate? Was LtGov unsure because he thought those 4 Rep. Senators were in favor or against the bill?

He thought the 4 senators would pay too high of price if they voted for the bill, all of them are for the Bill.

AFAIK it passed, with amendments, and went back to the House.

Yup. Straight party line vote in the Senate. Every R voted yea. Every D voted nay. Now we shall see if the House gets back to it and approves the Senate's amendments.

Asking from far away: why would state senators in Texas pay a price for supporting a gun rights bill?

My perception is that everyone there would be on board. Not so?

The big cities (Dallas, Ft. Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio) are voting blue because of the Liberals from California moving there. These Liberals are bringing with them the same problems they are trying to get away from.
