Anyone rock Talon Grips on their carry platform?

Just bought some rubberized ones for my Springer Hellkitten and they pretty much rock! Was chafing my side but the rubbers helped a whole lot.

I have Talon rubber grips on a M&P .380, M&P 9, Security 9, SUB2000 9 mm and 2 Shockwaves. I like how they put a hand written thank you on every invoice. [emoji846]

I have a Gen1 9mm Shield. I have put two sets on it, one granulated and the second rubberized. I prefer the rubberized feel. They are great and the company is wonderful to deal with as well. Highly recommended.

I've used them on a few guns., work good, cheaper is a roll of skateboard tape...for the granulate type finish. It works just as well and isn't necessary to cover the entire grip surface with it., nor is it practical to do so. I just cut some strips & lay it in the finger grooves wrapping towards the back strap.

First time I used them was on a Glock 23 I used to have. At the time they had just started and the founder was basically selling them out of his garage, and they were only available in granulated texture for Glocks. IIRC, he was an active duty police officer and was using his colleagues to field test the grips. They cost about $10 at the time. I messed up the first set and they kindly sent me another for free. They have really good customer service, IMO.

I think they're definitely worth trying out if you have a gun with a too-slick grip frame. They're a good, low-cost, non-permanent alternative to stippling.

Skateboard grip tape is a good option, but I like that Talons are already cut and shaped to fit the grip frame. To me, it's worth the extra cost. If it's not worth it to you, there are plenty of DIY options.

I prefer the granulated Talon’s, but I sand them down a bit so they don’t snag as badly. The rubber one’s aren’t grippy enough for me and the new Pro’s are a little too thick - at least on my glock 19.

I had the same opinion of the rubber texture. I also sanded down the granulated ones. I found cutting off the backstrap helped with preventing snags but didn't hamper traction.

The Pros are a tad thicker, but I didn't find that to be a problem. I did cut off the backstrap, and that may be a factor. I do like the texture, and I like that I don't have to sand them down.

I tested the rubbers out in the desert today. They rock!!

Just as much traction as the stock grips (or more) which is to say excellent, and there’re now more comfortable against my supple beautiful love handles!

HIGHLY recommended gang!!
