For 5'' S-W .45 as carry(4506/645 etc) what would you lean towards out of the 2. I have a decent stash of both and as far as getting other types it is still very hard to find, and I already have these. They both feed/group well in my guns, but I'm just a little leary of the friken 165 gr load in the CorBon. That is awfully light for a .45. The TAP is 230gr...both are +P. (The CorBon should be called +Muzzle Flash, it looks like a camera flash!) Opinions appreciated.

Pow'rBall is great for those guns that need a RN configuration to feed/function reliably and have a very potent capability. I've used Pow'rBall in sub-compact 9mm just to have the extra edge in reliability, not necessarily capability, however, I'm completely comfortable with carrying Pow'rBall as a primary SD round. Despite its light weight in every caliber, compared to other manufacturer's lines, it has high energy ratings and very impressive penetration results in ballistic gelatin. I don't personally know of any actual shootings, but I'm sure they are out there.

I'd do an internet search and look for gel tests. They are probably polar opposites in regards to penetration. Look for something in between the two. If pressed, I'd run the powerball. I'll bet Erich would opt for penetration and run DPX. You probably can't go wrong with either.

"I sir, am definitley no Erich" ... but I do like the laws of inertia on my side, and usually side with the heavier round.
