Target hammer?

For whatever reason, I'm having a hard time telling on this 27:

Nope. That's the standard hammer. Standard trigger, too. My 8 3/8" bbl. Pre-27 has exactly the same fittings on it.

It's the shadow on the spur flair in your photo that makes the hammer look wider than it really is.

Thanks David. I recently learned that all of the 27s shipped standard with magnas until 1974. Do you know if the "standard" guns were shipped with regular triggers and hammers? I believe they were..

I believe that's correct. Right now my memory is blanking on the earliest 27 I have seen with target fittings. Undoubtedly you could special order one with wide hammer and trigger, but I don't remember when (or even if) a specific Model 27 Target model was ever issued with its own product code.
