I no longer own any Taurus guns. I had a PT Mill 9mm and 45 ACP they worked fine but not very accurate. The 1911 appears to be made well and has all the bells and whistles but in my opinion I see no reason to purchase one when there are so many slightly used 1911's on the market. At the one small gun shop I frequent, there are always plenty of better brands to choose from at the same or lower price.
I also would look at the Rock Island or Springer.
The Taurus does get decent reviews and probably would be fine if a new gun is what one wants.
