First, let me say that I've owned two Rossi revolvers and swore that I'd never buy another Rossi product.

I owned a Taurus stainless .22 pump rifle (Winchester clone) and the quality was decent enough.

A friend of mine bought a "Circuit Judge" and I think that's an interesting concept. Did a little research and found that it's a Taurus/Rossi...what's up with that?

Just curious what the relationship is. Also wondering about the quality of the "Circuit Judge"....anybody got one yet? :)

Don't know 'bout all that ,but "Tossus" comes to mind from the two......:) I think they are both located in South America aren't they? Maybe their (legal) economy is no better than ours. Prolly same factory........just guessing though.

Forjas Taurus bought out the firearm manufacturing division and facility of A. Rossi quite some years ago. Rossi still has a big investment casting division and makes other items for the Brazilian market which is not in any way owned by Taurus. Taurus also makes motorcycle helmets, injection moulded plastic bins and other plastic products, motorcycle parts, hand tools and large CNC machines for the aerospace industry.

I think it might surprise a lot of people that lots of parts for many major gun makers (both standard production and custom) are made by Taurus- of course they've advertised that in American Rifleman for some time, but no one seems to read it.

It's kinda like how Beretta and Benelli are both owned by Beretta, and both addresses in MD are on different sides of the same building. (1701 Indian Head Highway vs. 1701 Beretta Dr)
