Taurus customer service?

I picked up a PT 709 last summer for hot climate concealability. I don't keep a round count but I know I've put over a K through it with no failures of any kind. I know it'll fire if I ever need it to. I wouldn't be comfortable carrying any gun that's ever malfed even once no matter how expensive and between sweat and getting caught in rain storms it still looks like it just came out of the box.

I needed a gun to tote around on the feed cart and was not going to have my beautiful K-22 Mstrpc. Banged up, so I got a Taurus mod 94. The trigger is nowhere as good as the Smith but whose is. I fired about a thousand rounds thru it in a week or so to get used to it. And 1 day I went out to the range and the rear site was gone, must have vibrated loose, it's held on by a screw. So I call Taurus service, no language problem but they told me I had to send the whole gun. I told them all I needed was the site and the screw for the mod 94 but they weren't having none of it. Then they told me they don't have it. Another call 2 weeks later different person says sure we can send it right out, and they did, got it in a few days. So I guess it's who you talk to when you call for service. As far as the gun goes it'll do for around the farm but it's a tool, I would not brag on it to my friends though.
As a side note, the wife can't even shot the Taurus because the trigger is too hard for her to operate.

asra...first of all Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing your experience, and above all thanks for double spacing your post. It makes reading a long post seem short.
While I do own one Taurus wheel gun, I haven't had any problems with the gun or need for it's customer service.

Maybe I have been fortunate but I have a steel Model 85 with a semi concealed hammer that has never caused me a problem. The fit, finish and function is nothing but good.
