There is no question that the very liberal late Senator Kennedy was no friend of the American firearm owner/enthusiast. His politics ran counter to the objectives ad beliefs of proponents of 2A.
That said, this thread has diverged from a 2A discussion into a Ted Kennedy bashfest. I'm afraid I can't allow that.
We can discuss how the liberals may use the late Senator's name in future legislation to garner support against 2A rights. Regardless of the late Senator's politics, IMO it shows poor respect to speak ill of the dead, and it puts the S&W Forum and its membership in a bad light in the Internet community.
The 2A forum is for 2A discussions, not general politics, and not for bashing the deceased.
