Guys I just talked to Teddy Jacobson his words. Teddy wanted to thank everyone . Due to Teddy's health issues, he has decided to retire from gunsmithing.

We would like to thank all of our customers over the past 40+ years for your continued support and business.

The parts and tools of Actions by T will remain open. Sid will continue to run it.

Unfortunately, there is no one we can recommend for any work you might need.

Thanks again Teddy Jacobson

Another premier gunsmith retired …. A dying art it seems. I had seen his work in magazines. Never had the privilege to have him work on any of mine.
The new age gunsmith will be someone who swaps out standard parts for “custom” parts in a plastic fantastic with no hand fitting I’m afraid.
I’m glad most if not all of my gunsmith needs have been taken care of. Of the two gunsmiths I used one has retired and the other is retiring in June. Another well thought of one in the area, whom I had not used, passed away last year. His shop remains as he left it in the back of a LGS with no one to work in it.

I'm experiencing the same thing myself. I'm almost 80 years young and most of the gunsmith/friends that I have relied on are either retired or passed on. It's what happens if you hang around long enough.

I haven't talked to Teddy in several years - OK, several decades...I used to see him at the old Astrohall gun shows in Houston...The only gun of mine I remember him working on was to smooth the trigger on a Browning Hi Power...Another gun I wish I still had...I wish him the best in his retirement...Actions by T is a hallmark of fine work!......Ben

Teddy Jacobson worked on one of my PPK’s. Always reliable and smooth! I have four but it’s my favorite and I will never part with it.

John Taffin has written about him and the work he did for him. Also posted some pictures in the articles as well.
