I love the Model 63 on the bottom....could you tell me a little more about it? I would love to own one like it!
I TEND TO AGREE. THE REAL BENEFIT OF THE MAGNUM ROUND IS THAT IT DELIVERS MORE ENERGY AGAINST 4 LEGGED TARGETS AT EXTENDED HUNTING RANGES OUT OF A LONGER BARREL. I HAD AN OLD MODEL, RUGER SINGLE SIX, CONVERTIBLE WITH A 9 1/2" BARREL. IT CAME WITH 2 CYLINDERS FOR .22LR AND .22WRFM. I DID NOT SEE ANY NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE IN TISSUE DAMAGE OF SMALL GAME SHOT WITH EITHER CYLINDER…..A 4" kit gun is a delight.
I wouldn't give a nickle for a handgun in 22 mag: been there, done that.
22 mag in a handgun produces lots of noise, consumes more expensive ammo and delivers no useful performance increment over 22 lr .
You need a rifle to get any noticeable benefit from the 22 mag.
Just my opinion, of course.
