Go to the link below and watch this as Tennessee Ernie Ford sings with his son Brian sitting by him. Watch it all the way to the end, it's great!

For those of you who remember this great voice (and for those who don't, but would like to hear it) I submit to you Mr. Tennessee Ernie Ford, and his son Brian, performing on television back in the 50's. Brian really gets with it, and almost breaks up his Dad. This is priceless....

According to my mom, my first solo walking steps were "dancing" to Sixteen Tons; it's always been a favorite.

It was a delight to hear that voice again. Thanks for the video. Curious to know what son Brian might think now of his performance...?

Well bless his pea pickin' heart!! We'll see him agin if the good Lord's willin' and the crick don't rise!!:)

Most people don't know this little known fact but he was responsible for bringing gospel music to TV. He and the directors wanted to include some hymns but the producers said NO but they slipped one in on the end of the program and it went over so well the phones at the network didn't stop ringing for hours. I have a couple of CD'S of just his gospel.
