Great British actor with a huge body of work. I first saw him as Billy Budd in the film adaptation of Melville's story. He played General Zod in the Superman movies with Christopher Reeve, John Tunstall in Young Guns, and General Ludwig Beck in Valkyrie among a multitude of other roles. You may not recall the name, but he is instantly recognizable in so many movies. A class act. R.I.P. sir… thanks for all the great roles.

Always looked forward to seeing him in a film and yes, "Billy Budd" was also my introduction to him. He was just referenced here on the forum for his wonderful
portrayal in "Limey."

He was one of those actors that you can't remember his name, but when he was on screen, he had your undivided attention.

He seemed like a solid guy. No drama or other BS. RIP. He was great as Beck.
